El Internet de las cosas es la puerta del acceso a la cuarta revolución industrial, de acuerdo con varios expertos. Por ello es que la apuesta educativa del Samsung Innovation Campus 2021 está enfocado en la capacitación de este tema, gracias a la alianza que hicieron con la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).
En su segunda etapa, el programa capacitará a 110 alumnos de la Unidad Lerma de la UAM, que fueron elegidos de una convocatoria donde más de 700 alumnos mostraron interés. Del lado de Samsung se brindó la capacitación a 8 profesores, en una primera etapa, donde se alió con Código IoT, quien desarrolló el curso Capstone Project. Sin embargo, la idea del programa es ampliarse en el futuro cercano.
Del lado de la UAM, la institución no sólo abrió la convocatoria a alumnos de Ingeniería, sino que se trató de una iniciativa abierta a las distintas carreras que ofrece la universidad, con el fin de que el tema de IoT no solo sea un tema de las carreras del área físico – matemáticas, sino también promover el interés de este tema en todas áreas educativas.
Por su parte Samsung, la empresa no sólo buscó la alianza de Código IoT sino que también brindará kits de capacitación con las herramientas necesarias para que los alumnos puedan tener un curso teórico y práctico en esta segunda etapa.
«La iniciativa de Samsung está presente en distintas partes del mundo, en México hemos buscado hacer alianzas con una de las universidades más reconocidas en el país y con Código IoT con el fin de incentivar el interés en tecnologías nuevas, pues sabemos que al capacitar y educar se puede innovar», precisó a Expansión, Daniel Antonio Pérez, director de Asuntos Externos.
SIC forma parte del esfuerzo de Samsung por apoyar en el desarrollo de las nuevas generaciones, ya sea difundiendo conocimiento en instituciones y museos, como se realizó con el programa “Construyendo alianzas, inspirando cultura”, o animando a jóvenes a solucionar problemas de su comunidad a través de la tecnología, como en el caso de “Soluciones para el futuro”.
