Intel apuesta por la capacitación de talento mexicano, con el objetivo de impulsar el liderazgo de México en la cadena de suministro de semiconductores en el mundo. Conoce los pilares en los que trabajará de la mano de la Secretaría de Economía para lograr esta meta.

Intel México y la Secretaría de Economía apuestan por el fortalecimiento de la cadena de suministro de semiconductores en México. Con este acuerdo impulsarán la innovación y capacitación a largo plazo de talento mexicano.

El objetivo es impulsar el liderazgo de México como un polo de innovación en la región y fortalecer su rol en la compleja cadena de suministro de semiconductores en el mundo, hoy presente a través del Centro de Diseño de Intel en Guadalajara.

A partir de ahora, ambas instituciones comenzarán a trabajar de manera colaborativa en tres pilares:

  • Desarrollar el talento requerido en las instituciones que defina la Secretaría de Economía.
  • Incrementar la competitividad de las empresas mexicanas por medio de la transferencia de conocimiento y mejores prácticas.
  • Impulsar programas globales de Intel como AI for Youth.

Mediante un marco de trabajo anual, se espera que surjan iniciativas que incrementen la disponibilidad de talento local altamente especializado para el crecimiento y maduración de la industria de la tecnología en México.

La secretaria Tatiana Clouthier destacó la importancia del desarrollo del talento y el uso del mismo para beneficio del crecimiento y bienestar de las familias y las economías, y recordó que los semiconductores juegan un papel fundamental en la vida de la población a nivel mundial.

Santiago Cardona, director general para Intel México, comentó que “en Intel tenemos el propósito de enriquecer la vida de todas las personas mediante el diseño y uso de la tecnología. Este acuerdo entre Intel y la Secretaría de Economía es muestra de la apuesta que ambas instituciones hacen por desarrollar un futuro brillante y transformar positivamente al país.”

Jesús Palomino, director general del centro de diseño de Intel en Guadalajara, indicó que “el centro GDC de Intel es orgullosamente de origen mexicano, que a lo largo de más de 20 años ha liderado innovaciones con impacto global. El acuerdo de colaboración entre Intel y la Secretaría de Economía es una iniciativa que marcará un antes y después en el desarrollo del talento altamente especializado que requerimos para ampliar las capacidades de la industria a nivel nacional.”

Con 30 años de historia en México, Intel se ha posicionado como líder innovador de la industria. Actualmente, Intel México juega un rol fundamental en la cadena global de semiconductores a través del GDC, donde se llevan a cabo dos de los cinco pasos necesarios para producir un semiconductor: el diseño y la validación de correcto funcionamiento de diversos componentes y plataformas.

Hoy, Intel México emplea a más de 1,700 personas; 700 de estos empleos se han generado en el último año. A lo largo de su historia en el país ha dejado una derrama de más de 1,000 millones de dólares.
