Are you compassionate, enthusiastic, and looking for a rewarding role where you can truly change lives? We’re looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our Community services in Swansea. This is an 18 hour position and typical shifts include:

  • Day shifts: 8:30 - 18:30
  • Weekend shifts: 8:30 - 18:30 (2 week rolling rota in advance)

Requirements

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own car is required for this role.
  • Due to the specific needs of the individuals we support, this role is only open to applicants who are biologically female.

About The Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll assist several individuals in their own home, each day with a wide range of daily activities, from shopping and cooking to attending medical appointments, social events, and engaging in hobbies. You’ll play a key role in empowering people to set, pursue, and achieve their personal goals, working as part of a supportive and rewarding team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting individuals to lead fulfilling everyday lives
  • Providing assistance and reminders with medication
  • Preparing and helping with meals
  • Accompanying clients to social activities and appointments
  • Offering emotional and social support
  • Assisting with shopping and household tasks such as laundry and general housekeeping

Skills And Experience Needed

A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.

Pay and Pensions

£24,531 (£12.75 per hour) Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift - approx. 1 per week. Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am. Enhanced DBS which we will pay for. Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed.

Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service. 3 x Life Cover linked to pension membership. Time off and Flexibility

26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 27 days after 1 years service or cash equivalent of 1 days’ annual leave. Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks. Paternity Leave: 3 weeks.
