This role gives you real influence. You will shape how homes are delivered, how teams work together and how communities benefit from development. You will have the space to think strategically while staying close enough to delivery to see the impact of your decisions. You will work with experienced professionals across development, sales, design, sustainability and regeneration, as well as with external partners who share a commitment to quality and innovation. Where does this role fit in? You will sit within the Development Directorate and report to the Director of Development. You will be a key member of the Development, Sales and New Business Management Team, working closely with senior leaders across the organisation. You will lead a Development Team of around 25 people and work alongside wider Development and Sales teams of approximately 60 colleagues. The role is agile, with the base in Swansea and covering the West region with regular collaboration across South Wales.
What skills and experience do you need? You will bring significant experience of leading and managing teams within a development or property environment, with a strong track record of delivering complex programmes, budgets and timescales. You will be comfortable operating at a senior level, contributing to strategic discussions while maintaining a clear focus on operational delivery. You will have strong commercial awareness, experience of partnership working and a good understanding of the residential development and sales landscape. You will be organised, decisive and calm under pressure, able to manage risk while keeping people engaged and motivated. Just as importantly, you will lead in a way that reflects Codi values. You will be compassionate in how you support colleagues and customers, authentic in how you communicate and build trust, and progressive in how you think about innovation, sustainability and future growth.
Responsibilities: The role includes leading a Development Team of around 25 people and collaborating with wider teams (Development and Sales) of approximately 60 colleagues. You will shape delivery, lead strategic discussions, manage programmes, budgets and timescales, and ensure high standards of quality and collaboration across internal and external partners. You will work from Swansea, covering the West region with regular collaboration across South Wales.
Pay and benefits: Time off and Flexibility. Hybrid role based in Swansea. Your role will involve working throughout South Wales. Working days are predominantly Monday to Friday or you can work compressed hours on a 9 day fortnight. 26 days holiday plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service. Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks. Paternity Leave: 3 weeks.
Money and Pensions: The exact salary is £89,182 for a 37 hour, full time, permanent position. 45p per mile for mileage allowance. Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service. 3 x Life Cover linked to pension membership. Saving scheme with competitive interest rate. Give As You Earn scheme for tax efficient charity donations. From 1st April 2026 the option to be either weekly or monthly paid.
