As part of our not-for-profit organisation, whatever your role, you’ll play a unique part in making a remarkable difference to the lives of thousands of people in communities across Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of Codi's new in-house conveyancing service. As Conveyancing Manager, you'll use your conveyancing expertise to help shape a brand-new function, influence how the service is delivered and support the continued growth of our development programme. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your leadership experience through the management of a Conveyancing Assistant.

Working closely with the Director of Legal & Governance, you'll play a key role in bringing conveyancing services in-house and establishing the foundations for a successful, customer-focused service. You'll manage a caseload of residential conveyancing matters relating to shared ownership and outright sales, while working alongside colleagues across Development, Sales and other teams to support a seamless customer journey from reservation through to completion.

You'll also help develop effective processes, systems and service standards, monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and value for money.

Skills and experience needed

We're looking for someone with significant experience in residential conveyancing, including managing cases from inception through to completion. Experience of working on large residential development schemes is essential.

A qualification as a Solicitor or CILEx professional, with post-qualification experience, would be desirable. However, we also welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate substantial relevant conveyancing experience and the technical expertise needed to succeed in the role.

You'll have excellent technical knowledge, strong commercial awareness and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders. We're looking for someone who can balance attention to detail with a practical approach to problem-solving, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and compliance. Experience of leading a conveyancing team, implementing new processes or working within the housing sector would be advantageous.

Perks, Benefits and a glimpse into our Codi world

The salary for this role is £47,392 per annum (full-time, 37 hours per week). This opportunity is available until 30th September 2027 as we establish and evaluate our new in-house conveyancing service. With agile working and a base location of Newport, Swansea or Cardiff. As part of our agile approach, you'll be expected to attend the office for team collaboration, key meetings and business needs.

You'll receive 26 days annual leave, rising to 31 days plus bank holidays. We work Monday to Friday, with the option to compress your hours into a 9 day fortnight. You'll also benefit from enhanced sick pay, wellbeing support and plenty of opportunities to learn, develop and progress your career with Codi.
