About The Role
Working in a team, you will provide support to a diverse range of people (18+). All are from various backgrounds, currently experiencing trauma and having complex needs. These can range from alcohol or substance misuse, mental health, anti-social behaviour. Through using a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) framework & working with external agencies you will create person-cantered support plans that will support the individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Your Day Will Consist Of
- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
- Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
- Liaising with external agencies to arrange multi-disciplinary meetings
- Supporting with attending appointments with the people we support
- Welfare checking
- Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
Skills And Experience Needed
- Experience of working with people that have complex backgrounds (mental health, substance misuse, offending history etc)
- Ability to self-manage a caseload
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
