This Scheme Support Officer role is based in our 10-bed Supported Accommodation Service, Garth Villas, Merthyr Tydfil. The role supports individuals who are homeless with a range of different behaviours and personalities. You will work alongside the Project Workers and provide support that helps customers engage in support, gain independence, and prepare to manage and sustain a future tenancy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to individuals who are homeless with varied behaviours and personalities.
  • Engage customers in support to help them gain independence and prepare for future tenancy.
  • Work a rolling rota covering days, evenings, nights, and bank holidays.

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people.
  • A passion to work with and enable people to live independent lives.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives.
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
