Support Workers needed to join a dedicated team in our supported living services in Ystrad Mynach. Part‑time positions of 30 and 25 hours with optional sleep‑in shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person‑centred support, including personal care, medication, and companionship.
  • Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and digital administrative tasks.
  • Support access to community activities and promote independence.
  • Complete digital documentation to a high standard.
  • Drive individuals out in the community; a full UK manual driving licence is essential.
  • Contribute as a proactive team member, bringing fresh ideas and improving ways of working.

Shifts

  • Day shifts: 7:30‑3:00 pm, 3:00‑9:30 pm, 11:00 am‑7:00 pm.
  • Waking night shifts: 9:30 pm‑7:30 am.
  • Sleep‑in shifts: additional to day shifts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Background working with people with physical or mental health needs desirable; full training will be provided.
  • IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience working as part of a team and customer service skills.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.

Benefits

  • Annual salary: £25,877 (£13.45 per hour).
  • Sleep‑in rate: £62.64 per 8‑hour shift.
  • Waking night rate: 20 % enhancement from 11 pm to 7 am.
  • Enhanced DBS fee paid.
  • Social Care Wales registration fully reimbursed.
  • Pension: Defined Contribution (DC) scheme with matched contributions up to 10 % or Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for each year of service.
