Join a major energy organisation's data platform team, via a leading consultancy. You'll champion and evolve their Databricks and Microsoft Fabric estate β owning platform reliability, infrastructure upgrades, and operational excellence across cloud-native data services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the build, maintenance, and upgrade of enterprise Databricks platforms to industry-leading standards.
- Design and implement Microsoft Fabric infrastructure β ensuring high performance, cost-efficiency, and security compliance.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible across Azure/AWS environments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git for continuous platform delivery.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineers to craft resilient, scalable, and secure data platform solutions.
- Engage with diverse business stakeholders to deliver operationally sound, customer-centric outcomes.
- Support the Platform Engineering Manager in delivering systems within operational expenditure budgets.
You Must Have
- 2+ years in SysAdmin, Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering managing complex systems.
- 2+ years hands-on Cloud platform infrastructure experience in Databricks environments (Azure / AWS).
- Strong PySpark, Python, and Linux scripting skills in production settings.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration management.
- Solid experience with *nix systems (Ubuntu / open-source Linux distributions) and Windows Server / PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking principles and secure platform integration.
- Clear communication skills β able to translate platform complexity for business stakeholders.
