Team: Codec Power Platform Practice
Why this role exists:
We’re hiring a hands‑on Higher Education Lead to own solution design and delivery on Microsoft Power Platform – with Dataverse at the core – while shaping and creating accelerators for repeatable, high‑quality outcomes across admissions, student services, case management, outreach, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to HE solution architecture on Power Platform (Dataverse, Model‑driven Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI) from discovery to go‑live and adoption for our HE customers.
- Assist with accelerator development: define scope, backlog, release cadence, and documentation; turn successful project patterns into reusable components.
- Design robust Dataverse data models: entities/relationships, security (teams, BPF‑stage security, field security), auditing, retention, and environment strategy.
- Build and govern solutions using solution layering, environment strategies (Dev/Test/Prod), pipelines and ALM (Azure DevOps or GitHub) with managed solutions.
- Integrations: design and guide implementation via Dataverse APIs, Webhooks, Power Automate (cloud flows), Azure Functions/Logic Apps where appropriate; promote low‑code first patterns.
- Power Pages leadership: site architecture, identity strategies (Entra ID/External Identities), web roles/permissions, Liquid/PCF where needed, and performance/accessibility best practice.
- Quality & delivery: backlog shaping, refined user stories, acceptance criteria, test strategy (solution checker, automated deployments, telemetry), and “smoke tests” for installs.
- Stakeholder leadership: run executive‑level workshops; translate policy/process into scalable platform capabilities; maintain a trusted‑advisor relationship.
- Practice & pre‑sales: shape proposals, estimates, demo storyboards, and proof‑of‑value builds; coach consultants; contribute to HE thought leadership and community.
- Outcomes & value: define measurable KPIs (cycle time, conversion, service SLAs, adoption), build lightweight dashboards, and hand over enablement materials.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
What you’ll bring:
Essential:
- 12+ years delivering Microsoft solutions in the education sector, with a heavy emphasis on Power Platform and Dataverse (including Model‑driven Apps).
- Proven experience designing Power Pages solutions (architecture, security, CMS model, ALM).
- Strong Power Automate (cloud flows) patterns for approvals, orchestration, and integration.
- Confident with ALM: solution segmentation, pipelines, managed solutions, and environment strategy.
- Data modelling, privacy/security by design, role/team/security profile configuration.
- Excellent facilitation skills: discovery, playback, blueprinting, and C‑level communication.
- Track record delivering in or adjacent to Higher Education (admissions, recruitment/marketing, student services, case management, outreach, research support, or similar).
Desirable:
- Power BI for operational dashboards; Application Lifecycle instrumentation/telemetry (e.g., Azure Monitor).
- Azure Functions / Logic Apps for extension patterns when low‑code isn’t enough.
- CoE Starter Kit experience (governance, DLP, environment strategy) and ALM Accelerator familiarity.
- PCF/TypeScript skills for targeted component customisation; C# for advanced extensions.
- Experience turning delivery artefacts into accelerator components (managed solutions, docs, samples).
Why Codec:
Ireland’s leading Microsoft partner with a deep track record in Dynamics 365 & Power Platform delivery, a supportive practice, and a culture of productising what works. Meaningful work in Higher Education, modern tooling, and real career growth.
