We're hiring a Practice Lead to join our Belfast practice and help shape the next generation of Microsoft Power Platform delivery across low-code, no-code, and pro-code apps. This is a delivery-first, full-time permanent role with a hybrid work pattern based in Belfast. We strongly encourage candidates of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. Each new team member brings a unique perspective, and we are eager to further diversify our company. Codec is committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best and most rewarding work of your career.

This role is for someone who wants to stay close to real project delivery while helping us build practical AI-enabled ways of working. You'll lead a dedicated stream within our Microsoft Business Applications practice, managing a team of Team Leads who support engineers and consultants across delivery, and helping turn good ideas into repeatable delivery patterns. We’re investing in AI-enabled delivery because the next wave of Power Platform work will be won by teams who combine platform expertise, strong delivery discipline, and practical AI tooling.

You'll have space to help shape that capability while staying close to real client work. The opportunity is broad but grounded in delivery. You might help replace click-heavy configuration with code-led approaches, use Copilot Studio or other tooling to build useful client-facing or delivery-supporting agents, develop context engineering and harness engineering practices, and work towards human-in-the-loop and autonomous AI solutions that help teams build Power Platform solutions faster and with higher quality.

This is a chance to help extend our playbook for AI-enabled Power Platform delivery: how teams use context, prompts, harnesses, agents, code, and governance to deliver better solutions faster. The role spans pre-sales and delivery, giving you room to find your niche across the project lifecycle and support how Codec wins and delivers new business.

You should bring real experience using and delivering AI solutions, not just an interest in the topic. That could include Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools used to create client solutions, accelerate delivery, structure requirements, build reusable assets, improve testing, or support adoption.

To apply, send your CV and a short cover letter outlining your interest in the role. Keep it sharp, and focus on what makes you a great fit for the role at Codec. We value great communicators, so take your time with the application. This is an important role for us, and we're giving it our full attention. You’ll hear from us whether you’ve advanced to the interview stage. Interviews will be conducted at times that suit you, and we aim to make an offer shortly after the process is complete. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.

How to prepare for a job interview at Codec

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Codec uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
