In a period of growth, we’re expanding our engineering team and seeking a Senior Game Tech (Software) Engineer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building high-quality systems and enjoys working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and distributed systems
- Contribute to architecture, technical strategy, and key engineering decisions
- Own services and features end-to-end, from concept through to production and live operations
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code aligned with best practices
- Collaborate with internal and external teams in a distributed environment
- Act as a technical liaison by participating in client-facing calls to gather requirements, demo new features, and provide status updates on development progress
- Mentor and support engineers, driving quality and continuous improvement
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant commercial software engineering experience at a senior level
- Strong backend expertise across multiple languages (JavaScript / TypeScript / C# / .NET / C++ / Rust / Python / Golang)
- Proven track record building and running scalable, reliable systems in production
- Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs and distributed systems
- Strong experience with AWS (Serverless, SQS, EventBridge, API Gateway/WebSockets) and modern tooling (Git, JIRA, DevOps)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) as well as NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, DocumentDB, CosmosDB, Redis, etc.)
- Proactive, adaptable and collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Exposure to Mobile SDK development and frontend experience with React or other modern JS frameworks
- Familiarity with Perforce in addition to Git
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience working within the Games Industry.
- Hands-on experience with game LiveOps platforms such as Nakama, Playfab, or custom game backend integrations.
