We operate from a single Manchester office where a close-knit team of around 20 engineers work collaboratively across a broad range of projects. Our core sectors include commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, leisure, residential and pharmaceutical environments, serving both public and private clients throughout the UK.
Role: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Manchester (office-based with occasional project site visits)
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be expected to:
Prepare detailed electrical system designs for building services projects, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, emergency lighting and communications systems.
Lead electrical engineering aspects from concept through to detailed design and technical completion.
Coordinate designs with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure fully integrated solutions.
Carry out technical calculations, load assessments and compliance checks with relevant UK standards and building regulations.
Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and schedules.
Liaise with clients, project teams and stakeholders throughout the design process.
Support junior engineers and contribute to quality assurance procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical design processes and standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Chartered or working towards Chartered status (e.g. IEng/CEng) with relevant professional membership (e.g. CIBSE, IET).
Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.
Strong technical knowledge of UK electrical engineering standards, building services systems and compliance requirements.
Competence in engineering design software and modelling tools relevant to electrical services.
Excellent communication, organisational and team working skills.
Ability to manage workload and deliver to deadlines in a busy office environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Previous exposure to BIM workflows or Revit MEP.
Experience working across multiple sectors such as healthcare, retail, commercial and industrial projects.
An interest in sustainable design practices and low-carbon electrical solutions.
