We are recruiting a Principal Structural Engineer on behalf of an established multi-disciplinary consultancy in Manchester. This company has offices in London, Edinburgh and Manchester, with established structural teams in Edinburgh and London. They are growing the Manchester team with established business and projects to own and manage, along with a long-term growth plan.
You will join the structural director as his number 2, with a view to take on 2 more engineers in the next 12 months. As Principal Structural Engineer, you will be managing 7 or 8 projects from day one across multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, leisure, and heritage, ranging from £1 million to £10 million. The business is growing rapidly.

About you and the role:
- You will be an experienced structural design professional with 7 years+ experience in managing medium/large structural projects.
- Ensuring projects are completed to time and budget and of quality.
- Managing clients and delivering projects.
- Leading and mentoring engineers as the team grows.
- Ideally chartered or close to being chartered.
