We are working with a well-established building services consultancy in Manchester who are seeking an experienced CAL Revit Technician to join their commercial team on an initial 2-month contract. This role is outside IR35 and is expected to be ongoing on a rolling basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Revit professional who can take ownership of MEP models and drive coordination excellence across complex commercial projects.
The Role
As an experienced Revit Technician, you will act as the bridge between engineering theory and constructible reality. You will be the owner of the model, ensuring all Mechanical and Electrical systems are accurately drawn, fully coordinated, and data rich. You will play a key role in BIM coordination, clash resolution, and ensuring models meet required LOD and ISO standards across project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation of intelligent parametric Revit families
- Use of Dynamo to automate workflows
- Management of central models and worksets (BIM 360 / ACC)
- Production of coordinated 2D P&IDs and electrical schematics
- Model federation and clash detection (Navisworks / Solibri)
- Resolution of clashes through effective service rerouting
- Strong understanding of ceiling void zoning and service hierarchy
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and CDE protocols
- Understanding of LOD 200–400 requirements and RIBA stages
- Familiarity with BSRIA BG/6 Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health detailing requirements (supports, containment, drainage falls, segregation rules)
- Representing the business in BIM coordination meetings
- Applying QA/QC checks prior to issue
