Because of a growing portfolio of work, this central Manchester based firm of consultants seek an experienced Civil Engineering Professional to supplement the Infrastructure team. The role will suit people with a strong technical background of building related civil engineering, coupled with hands on people management and polished client interface skills.
You will have deep involvement in an orderbook of work across an interesting blend of sectors that includes airports, automotive, advanced manufacturing and defence.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Lead major projects, developing a client focussed led approach to design.
- Commercial acumen and management of project finances.
- Mentor junior staff and guide them in their professional development.
- Contribute to income generation through repeat work, following up leads and involvement in bids and submissions.
To be considered for the role you will call upon a minimum of 10 years experience and have achieved, or are close to achieving, chartered engineer status. Demonstrable track record of managing people and projects in similar organisations. Demonstrable technical skills in relation to flood risk, drainage, highways and earthworks.
