The Role

This role’s primary responsibility is to deliver our suite of Level 1 and Level 2 funded courses for the unemployed on behalf of our funding partner(s). The role is predominantly teaching remotely; however, there may be some in-person teaching required. The courses are typically 2-4 weeks duration and run consecutively. The Instructor will be responsible for cohorts of learners, including ensuring all learner paperwork is completed to a high standard and in line with our QA processes.

Teaching & Delivery

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging technical training across Code Nation Adult Skills Fund (ASF) programmes.
  • Deliver practical, hands-on learning experiences aligned to real-world industry scenarios.
  • Support learners through mentoring, feedback, and skills development.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with awarding body and internal quality standards.
  • Ensure timely feedback of work submitted to meet quality standards and qualification requirements for learners to achieve.
  • Complete Group Profiles and ILPs regularly throughout course duration to reflect the status of each learner indicating where support is being provided and evaluation of its effectiveness.
  • Ensure all learner evidence, feedback and supporting documentation is complete and ready for submission to the Internal Verifier within 48 hours of the completion of a course.
  • Liaise with Compliance and Admissions to track learner attendance, punctuality and feedback.
  • Successfully manage cohort progress against milestones and individual targets.
  • Report issues with learner progress to the Delivery Lead and follow agreed strategies to remedy.
  • Keep up to date with SEND and safeguarding developments and processes supported by the Delivery Manager.
  • Support in the amendment of delivery materials for ASF courses to enhance the learner experience, under the guidance of the Delivery Lead.
  • Contribute to team activities evaluating curriculum materials to reflect current technologies, tools, and best practice.

Other

  • Take part in regular CPD activities to enhance technical and pedagogical skills and knowledge.
  • Attend/complete any required CPD by the funding partner.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in delivery of ASF tech related courses and requirements.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Technical competence including industry recognised qualification in field of expertise.
  • Understanding/experience of funded programmes for the unemployed (desirable).
  • Awareness of the Ofsted Inspection Framework.
