We are seeking a skilled, time-served Pipe Welder or Pipe Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication, fitting, assembly, and welding of pipework and associated metal components for a variety of industrial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in pipe fabrication, fitting, TIG, FCAW to contribute to high-quality projects within a professional and fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out pipe fitting, fabrication, and assembly of pipework systems and pipe spools
  • Perform TIG and FCAW welding where required
  • Read and interpret technical drawings & fabrication drawings
  • Prepare, align, fit-up, and assemble pipework and associated components
  • Fabricate metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and prepare materials
  • Conduct quality inspections on fabricated and welded components to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety procedures
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines and production targets

Requirements

  • Proven experience in pipe fitting, fabrication, TIG welding, or FCAW welding
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately
  • Competent in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery
  • Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication and assembly processes
  • Experience working with pipework, structural steel, and sheet metal fabrication desirable
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Basic maths skills for measuring, marking out, and fabrication calculations
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced workshop or site environment
  • Relevant welding qualifications or codings
  • Experience working to industrial or coded welding standards
  • CSCS card, IPAF, or other industry certifications beneficial
