Role Description: The Operations Assistant is a part-time, on-site role based in Manchester (M12 6LP). This is a varied, hands-on role that sits at the heart of everything we do. You'll be involved in warehouse operations, customer relations, and general business administration, meaning no two days will look the same. As one of our first team members, you'll play a key part in shaping how the business operates and have the opportunity to grow with us.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Up to 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfilment & Warehouse Operations: Accurately picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders in line with delivery targets. Receiving and booking in incoming stock, checking for discrepancies, and maintaining organised storage across the warehouse.
- Customer Service & Sales: Handling inbound customer enquiries via email, phone, and live chat in a professional and timely manner. Supporting customers in finding the right products for their needs, resolving order issues.
- General Operations & Admin: Supporting the day-to-day running of the business across a broad range of tasks. From supplier communication and stock management to helping shape internal processes.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented and organised with the ability to work independently
- Desire to learn and grow within the position.
- Physically able to carry out warehouse duties including lifting and manual handling.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Basic IT literacy - comfortable using Gmail and Microsoft Office or similar.
Desirable:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or customer-facing role.
- Experience with order management systems.
