We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full time Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong foundation in early childhood education. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting.
- Help plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to learn and play.
- Support the lead nursery staff in managing children's behaviour positively and constructively.
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and staff as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children and families.
- Leadership qualities are beneficial for guiding younger staff or volunteers within the nursery environment.
- A valid driving licence is preferred and over 25 is desirable for driving duties.
