Coco Group is partnering with a fast-growing, highly respected live production specialist to recruit an AV Technician with a strong video bias. Due to a significant increase in project activity, this is an excellent opportunity to join a technically ambitious team delivering high-profile live events across the UK and internationally.
Our client operates across a wide range of environments including elite global sporting events, concerts, festivals, conferences, theatre and large-scale live productions, working with cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional audience experiences.
The Role
As an AV Technician, you will play a hands-on role in the planning, build and delivery of complex video-led systems. You will work closely with production teams and clients to ensure seamless integration of video technology from pre-production through to live delivery and breakdown.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on the design, setup and operation of video playback and distribution systems.
- Installing and supporting LED walls and projection systems.
- Integrating video signals across live production environments.
- Leading on-site installations.
- Troubleshooting under pressure during live shows.
- Contributing feedback post-event to help refine systems and support ongoing innovation.
Skills & Experience
We are keen to speak with candidates who have proven experience working with video systems in live event or production environments. You should have strong technical knowledge of video processing, signal distribution and screen management, alongside hands-on experience with technologies such as NDI, SDI and Dante.
Experience working with media servers and live video switchers such as Pixera, Green Hippo, Resolume, vMix or Blackmagic is highly desirable, as is practical experience with LED walls, including rigging, cabling and processor programming (Novastar). A solid understanding of networking, fibre distribution and managed network environments is important, along with strong troubleshooting skills in high-pressure, live settings.
Ideally, you will have experience of working across events of varying scale and complexity. Knowledge of lighting and audio, and the confidence to understand and manage all technical aspects of a project, would be an advantage.
