This role will ensure that new revenue opportunities are found and won with new clients.

The Client Development Lead will be expected to deliver an outstanding level of service to new clients, partnering with a team of project managers.

The Primary Job Functions:

  • Conduct regular new business client meetings.
  • Seek and achieve new engagement with new contacts, departments, and divisions of client companies to secure new projects.
  • Sourcing new briefs, collaborating with the Account Management team for all management of the brief response.
  • Pass over all pitch-related information to the Account Management team to aid in the winning of the new briefs.

The Primary Objectives:

  • Keep clients happy and continue to engage with our agency regarding all financial pipelines, ensuring that even if prospects are lost, you will have an active pipeline of wider contacts to engage.
  • Achieve growth by building relationships with a strong new business prospective list.
  • Maintain profitability, achieving a minimum of 40% average margin across new business generation.
  • Have a clear vision of achieving weekly meetings, via virtual or face-to-face, with a network of new clients.

Key Tasks:

  • Ensure all new business client relationships are maintained and clients remain happy and committed to the agency.
  • Ensure client revenues holistically grow year on year from a new base of clients.
  • Be the owner and driver for the required activities needed to achieve success in Client Development Results, including but not limited to outreach, credentials meetings, briefs in, pitches responded to at a standard to win the projects, winning new deals, and clients.

The Key Deliverables are:

  • Develop clients.
  • Build a client portfolio with a responsible split across new markets/sectors for new business development.
  • Ensure clear profitability is scoped when prospecting new clients.
  • Activity management, well maintained (Outreach, Meetings, Briefs, WINS).
  • Creative and intelligent problem-solving aptitude to offer a professional understanding across creative, branding, design & build, or experiential markets.

Knowledge / Experience Requirements:

  • Client retention and growth experience.
  • Strong strategic solution ability.
  • Experience of sales platforms, such as Salesforce.
  • Success in cultivating new business relationships with revenue growth.
  • Success in managing proactive activity and ensuring success of monthly key targets.
  • Ability to develop client development skills within your own personal development.
  • Ability to drive the client growth culture within the wider business.
