Middleweight 3D Exhibition Designer

Location: City of London (Hybrid working)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is a well-honed Design & Exhibition Creative well-established agency with 20+ years of experience designing and delivering high-impact exhibition stands, internal fit-outs, and event spaces. From consumer expos to international trade shows, our work spans the globe, and now we’re looking for a talented Middleweight 3D Exhibition Designer to join their growing team.

They are part of a collaborative group of specialist creative companies and operate with the energy, innovation, and sociability you’d expect from a dynamic agency environment.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in crafting exceptional exhibition spaces that are as functional as they are eye-catching. You’ll be responsible for producing engaging 3D concepts, visuals, and detailed CAD drawings while collaborating closely with project managers and build teams to bring your ideas to life.

Key Tasks:

  • Creating original 3D exhibition stand designs and supporting 2D graphic layouts
  • Producing workshop-ready technical drawings using AutoCAD
  • Attending on-site builds to ensure successful delivery (domestic and international travel may be required)
  • Contributing fresh, innovative thinking to elevate our creative output
  • Working with clients and internal teams to refine and develop creative concepts
  • Developing your skills through mentorship and training in CAD, project delivery, and client management

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a passionate, creative designer who isn’t afraid to challenge convention. You should be confident in turning big ideas into buildable realities, with a strong sense of commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Essential:

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as an exhibition or event designer

Strong visualisation skills and ability to communicate design ideas clearly

Confident using 3D and 2D design software (Cinema4D, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite)

Solid understanding of spatial design, materials, and fabrication methods

Comfortable being client-facing when required

Enthusiastic, collaborative, and proactive with a flexible ‘can-do’ mindset

Flexibility is absolutely essential – there may be a requirement to work additional hours, and some potential weekend work, to ensure that projects are delivered and visioned and promised for our clients.
