Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an organic social media strategy across primarily Instagram (Potentially TikTok) that simultaneously drives customer retention through educational content and attracts new customers through viral/shareable content.
  • Own the end-to-end content creation process, from strategy and ideation to production and analytics, with the clear goal of driving measurable business results in both retention and acquisition. You’ll be given the budget to hire a team or relevant creators to actually film the content/be on camera.
  • This role doesn’t require you to be on camera – it is more so a strategy-focused position.
  • Build and nurture an engaged community through daily interaction, smart IG comments, and creating content that resonates deeply with the target audience\’s wellness journey. Our client\’s audience is primarily 40+ females.
  • Fully responsible for the planning of content within a private FB Group/Community that helps maximize customer retention.
  • Create and manage a content calendar that balances educational content (benefits of collagen, success stories, how-to guides) with engaging, shareable content that helps acquire new customers at the top of the funnel.
  • Work cross-functionally with the paid media team to ensure organic content strategy complements our paid advertising efforts and helps reduce overall customer acquisition costs.

Additional Functions

  • Develop and manage relationships with content creators, photographers, and videographers to produce high-quality content within budget.
  • Track and analyze content performance metrics, focusing on engagement, retention impact, and organic acquisition.
  • Build and manage a small but efficient content team as our client scales up.
  • Create a robust UGC strategy to leverage customer success stories and testimonials.

Success Metrics

Responsible for the Organic content side of the business, which directly impacts paid media and retention efforts. Your effectiveness in this role will be measured by:

  • Improved subscriber retention rates through engaging educational content.
  • Increased organic reach and engagement metrics month over month.
  • Drive measurable organic customer acquisition.
  • Build and grow an engaged IG community & private FB Group (potentially).

Core Skills

  • Deep understanding of organic social media strategy, particularly in the health/wellness space.
  • Strong creative direction and content production expertise.
  • Experience building and nurturing online communities.
  • Data-driven approach to content strategy and measurement.
  • Excellence in storytelling and brand building.
  • Understanding of subscription business models and customer retention.
  • Understanding of how organic social impacts TOF and its role in the overall marketing funnel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in organic social media, with ideally at least 2-3 years specifically in D2C health/wellness businesses.
  • Proven track record of growing engaged communities.
  • Experience managing content budgets and demonstrating ROI.
  • Strong understanding of content production and management.
  • Experience in health/wellness/beauty industry preferred.
  • Demonstrate success in creating content that drives both retention and acquisition.

This role will be instrumental in building our client brand\’s organic presence while supporting their paid media efforts and improving customer retention through engaging content.
