We’re partnering with a brilliantly creative, fast-growing brand experience agency to find a rare kind of Account Director, someone equally comfortable shaping big ideas and delivering complex live experiences on the ground. This is not a traditional AD role. It’s a true hybrid, blending integrated campaign thinking with hands-on event leadership, and it needs someone who thrives in both worlds.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of client briefs from the very start, whether that’s an experiential activation, a large-scale event, or a 360 campaign with a live element, and drive them right through the agency. Working closely with Strategy, Creative and Production, you’ll help shape compelling responses that don’t just answer the brief, but elevate it. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in delivering a flagship, large-scale consumer festival, a logistically complex, high-profile event that demands serious operational capability, attention to detail and calm leadership under pressure. In short: You’ll sell the idea, shape the work, and deliver it brilliantly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking open and often ambiguous client briefs and turning them into clear, strategic responses
  • Collaborating with Strategy and Creative to develop bold, insight-led campaign ideas
  • Leading internal teams to build robust, commercially sound proposals
  • Presenting and selling ideas confidently to senior clients
  • Owning projects end-to-end, from concept through to delivery and debrief
  • Managing budgets closely, ensuring profitability without compromising creativity
  • Leading the delivery of large-scale, complex live events with multiple moving parts
  • Acting as the central point of contact for clients, building strong, trusted relationships
  • Identifying opportunities to grow accounts and expand briefs

What We’re Looking For

You’ll likely come from a creatively driven brand experience, experiential or integrated agency where you have delivered live event campaigns, and you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience owning and delivering projects end-to-end
  • A strong track record across live events, activations, exhibitions or roadshows
  • The ability to think strategically and shape campaign responses, not just deliver against them
  • Confidence working with creative and strategy teams to build ideas from scratch
  • Solid event delivery experience - you understand logistics, timelines, suppliers and on-site execution
  • Strong financial acumen - you can build, manage and reconcile budgets effectively
  • Natural client leadership skills - credible, calm and solutions-focused

Crucially, you’re not purely one or the other:

  • Not just a logistics-led Event Manager
  • Not just a conceptual Account Director with no delivery experience

You sit confidently in the middle - and that’s what makes you thrive.

Why This Role?

  • A genuinely varied role combining creative thinking and live delivery
  • The chance to work on high-profile, large-scale experiences
  • The chance to grow a key client account and be embedded within the team as an agency ambassador
  • A collaborative, ambitious agency culture where ideas matter
  • Real opportunity to shape work, not just service it
  • A business that values curiosity, collaboration and doing things properly

If you’re an Account Director who doesn’t want to be boxed into one lane, and you’re at your best when blending ideas with execution, I’d love to hear from you.
