Key Responsibilities

  • The academy’s mission statement, aims, priorities, targets and balanced scorecard and the mission of the Summit Learning Trust
  • Monitor, lead and support those members of staff in the direct reporting line on areas of their remit.
  • Ensure all academy protocols, routines and expectations are met by all staff in their area.
  • Have responsibility for all results, assessment data, achievement, progress and attainment in the subject areas.
  • Manage formal processes affecting staff in the subject areas in line with Trust policies.
  • Support the trust in the implementation of strategies to raise standards in the subject areas.

About You

  • A qualified teacher (QTS).
  • Ability to demonstrate good teaching ensuring all students make excellent progress across all key stages.
  • Successful experience of leading, monitoring and with an understanding of the importance of accountability in the role.
  • Successful and relevant secondary teaching experience.
  • Clear understanding and detailed knowledge of current curriculum and assessment requirements and developments.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with learners, parents and carers, and colleagues.
