As our sole charge RVN, you’ll work alongside our Veterinary Surgeon and reception team to deliver exceptional standards of care and service. Your role will involve supporting consultations and procedures, nursing day patients, maintaining stock control, and upholding infection control standards.
You’ll be encouraged to use your nursing skills to their fullest and contribute ideas that help the practice grow and improve. This position suits someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to be hands-on in a close-knit environment.
This role can be full or part-time, with flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Full-time hours are 40 per week across 8-hour shifts starting from 8am. We’re happy to discuss flexible working patterns for the right candidate.

We’re seeking a qualified and registered veterinary nurse who is:
- Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
- Confident working independently and leading by example
- Passionate about delivering high standards of care and communication
- Committed to fostering a positive team culture and supporting colleagues
Experience in a start-up or sole charge setting would be an advantage, but not essential - we’ll provide all the support you need to succeed.
At Cockfosters, we believe in giving our people the flexibility, trust, and support to do their best work. You’ll enjoy a healthy work‑life balance, professional freedom, and the backing of a wider network that values your ideas and expertise.
