We are looking to recruit a friendly, organised and motivated Receptionist / Administrator to join our team. This is a varied role combining patient-facing reception duties with administrative support for the Practice Management Team. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice whilst providing excellent customer service to our patients.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Greeting and assisting patients and visitors.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
  • Booking, amending and cancelling appointments.
  • Processing patient requests and signposting where appropriate.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and accurate patient records.
  • Updating patient demographics and records.
  • Processing workflow and administrative tasks.
  • Scanning, photocopying and document management.
  • Maintaining electronic filing systems.
  • Preparing meeting packs, agendas and taking minutes.
  • Maintaining staff records, training records and compliance folders.
  • Supporting audits, patient surveys and Friends & Family Test administration.
  • Assisting with recruitment administration.
  • Maintaining IT equipment inventories and logging support tickets.
  • Supporting patient communication campaigns and general practice administration.

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is confident using computer systems. Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
