We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our established clinical team for two sessions per week. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to our registered population and manage a varied general practice caseload. You will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and supportive clinical and administrative team and contribute to the continued development of our practice.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients
- Conduct face to face, telephone, and online consultations
- Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with national and local guidelines
- Undertake home visits
- Participate in care planning and health promotion for patients with long term conditions
- Issue prescriptions appropriately in accordance with practice and NHS policy
- Review test results, hospital letters and correspondence promptly
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical record keeping using systmone clinical system

Job responsibilities:
The following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
Qualifications:
- Essential Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent
- JCPTGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
- Full GMC registration
- National Performers List registration (England)
- Independent prescriber
- Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
- Evidence of current validation
- Evidence of last appraisal
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
