We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Stores Person. Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, this role is critical in supporting operational efficiency through the accurate receipt, storage, and despatch of goods. The successful candidate will ensure stock integrity, maintain a safe and organised stores environment, and contribute to the smooth flow of materials across the business.

Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Purpose of Job: The Stores Person is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, handling and despatch of goods. This role ensures stock is accurately recorded, safely stored and readily available to meet operational requirements while maintaining a clean and organised stores environment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect and record incoming goods and deliveries.
  • Pick, pack and despatch orders accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using inventory systems.
  • Assist with conducting regular stock counts.
  • Ensure correct labelling and identification of all items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the stores area.
  • Liaise with drivers and internal staff as required.
  • Assist with any other general warehouse duties as required.

Essential Skills, Qualities and Experience:

  • Previous experience in Stores environment preferred but not essential.
  • Counterbalance Forklift truck licence would be advantageous, although training would be given.
  • General knowledge/capability in the use of a PC.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
