Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for logistics and a commitment to hygiene? We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Reverse Logistics and Hygiene Team Leader to join our expanding team!
Position Summary: To oversee the work of the Reverse Logistics & Hygiene teams to ensure functional operation and hygiene standards. Support and assist the Reverse Logistics and Hygiene Manager to ensure core operational priorities of the business are completed to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Support the daily operation of the Reverse Logistics and Hygiene departments to ensure all operational targets and hygiene standards are achieved.
- Take operational responsibility for the department in the absence of the manager, ensuring continuity of service and effective decision-making.
- Coordinate reverse logistics yard activities, including the movement and loading of pallets, cardboard, bun trays, and waste streams.
- Liaise with transport teams, suppliers, contractors, and trailer providers to ensure timely collections, trailer swaps, and smooth operational flow.
- Manage barrel trailer operations, including unloading, palletising, reloading full barrels, and replenishing empty barrels for distribution.
- Assist in coordinating workloads and supporting team members to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
- Monitor yard and site hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company procedures.
- Support the wider hygiene team where required to maintain operational effectiveness across the site.
- Complete operational and administrative duties accurately and in line with company policies and legal requirements, including waste stream documentation and operational records.
- Work within a multi-temperature food storage environment while maintaining safe working practices at all times.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and support the implementation of more efficient working methods.
- Promote a positive team culture through effective communication, collaboration, and day-to-day operational support.
