This role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of assigned legal entities, including French language entities, acting as the primary contact for external auditors during financial statement audits and supporting the preparation of year‑end and statutory accounts in collaboration with our shareholder, The Coca-Cola Company. It involves close cooperation with the Group Tax team and our shareholder on tax‑related matters, including collaboration with the ITX team. The position also includes performing regular period‑end tasks, supporting our Managed Service Provider, contributing to Sustainability Reporting, and maintaining internal controls within the scope of responsibility.
What You’ll Do for Us:
- Support External Audits: Work closely with the shareholder on the preparation of year‑end accounts and statutory accounts. Coordinate audit requirement lists across all internal and external stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and respond to audit requests.
- Tax Expert: Work with the shareholder and Group Tax team on the preparation of corporation tax. Support the Indirect Tax team to ensure timely submission of VAT returns, including responding to tax‑related queries as required.
- Sustainability Reporting: Partner with the Global Record to Report Regional Sustainability Reporting Directors to manage the metrics process for mandatory statutory reporting in compliance with all sustainability directives and requirements from different regulatory bodies globally (i.e., SEC, CSRD, ISSB, MCD, TCFD, California, etc.).
- Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the Managed Service Provider responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register and running the monthly depreciation process. Align with internal stakeholders on CAPEX budgeting. Perform regular fixed asset verifications.
- Period Close Management: Overall responsibility for ensuring period close processes are complete for the respective entities. Oversight of Manager Service provider performing period close tasks, and preparation of Balance sheet reviews.
- Internal Control Performance: Apply internal controls standard to companies that fall under your remit. Oversee the balance sheet review process to companies that fall under your remit by ensuring on‑time completeness and quality checks.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Knowledge and Experience: French Language & French GAAP experience. Demonstrable project management skills, particularly relevant for managing financial statement audits. Excellent (advanced) MS Excel skills. Profound VAT knowledge and strong understanding of statutory and legal requirements. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Previous responsibility for financial statement (FS) audits. Knowledge of local GAAP requirements, including French.
- Competences: Communicative personality who easily engages with internal and external stakeholders. FMCG experience. Can clearly structure themselves, is well organized and shows a documented way of working. Evidence of making decisions at the right time based on the information available. Solid at building relationships with stakeholders within and outside of the organisation. Strong language skills in one or more of the following: French (mandatory for French entities), Spanish (an advantage depending on entity coverage).
