The Director, Marketing (ARTD) is responsible for accelerating the ARTD business across Europe by translating category strategy into focused, high-impact execution, with a strong emphasis on top priority markets. Operating within a networked system, this role partners closely with countries, bottlers, and cross-functional teams to deploy scalable growth models, ensuring consistent delivery against category priorities. Working under the direction of the Senior Director, the role ensures strong alignment between portfolio priorities, commercial levers, and in-market execution, while contributing to the overall growth, brand strength, and long-term value creation of the ARTD category.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Category Strategy Deployment
- Support the implementation of ARTD category strategy across Europe, ensuring clarity and focus on priority markets.
- Translate strategic direction into practical execution plans and market playbooks.
- Help define and apply market archetypes, supporting prioritization of resources and initiatives.
- Identify growth opportunities and feed insights back into category strategy refinement.
- Portfolio & Innovation Execution
- Execute the ARTD portfolio agenda, ensuring clear brand roles and priorities across markets.
- Drive delivery of the innovation pipeline, supporting launches and scaling across priority markets.
- Partner with markets and bottlers to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of innovation.
- Monitor performance and recommend portfolio and pipeline adjustments based on market results.
- Growth & Commercial Activation
- Translate category priorities into clear commercial activation frameworks for markets and bottlers.
- Support definition and deployment of key commercial levers (RGM, channel focus, availability, occasions).
- Drive joint business planning execution with markets, ensuring alignment to targets and priorities.
- Focus on winning in top ARTD markets, ensuring strong execution discipline and delivery.
- Marketing Execution Excellence
- Support delivery of the integrated marketing approach across ARTD brands.
- Drive effective deployment of DME investments, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial priorities.
- Champion best‑in‑class activation models, including social‑first and occasion‑based marketing.
- Ensure consistency of brand execution, while enabling relevant local adaptations.
- System Collaboration & Capability Building
- Partner closely with country teams, bottlers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive aligned execution.
- Contribute to cross‑market routines, sharing best practices and driving adoption of what works.
- Support capability building across markets, strengthening ARTD marketing and commercial execution skills.
- Act as a key connector across the system, ensuring clarity, alignment, and pace.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to alcohol marketing regulations, brand safety standards, and responsible marketing practices.
- Partner with Legal, Public Affairs, and technical teams to ensure compliant execution of initiatives.
- Monitor and flag execution and reputational risks across markets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience across marketing, commercial, or related roles.
- Experience in alcohol beverages, ARTD, or adjacent categories preferred.
- Proven track record in driving in‑market execution and delivering growth in multi‑market environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate strategy into action.
- Demonstrated ability to work across a networked system and influence multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working in complex, multi‑market, regulated environments.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 10–15% travel across Europe.
Compensation
Base Salary: 75,800 EUR to 115,000 EUR. Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered. Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage: 30%. Annual incentive reference value is a market‑based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
