Wakefield Operations is one of the most significant manufacturing sites within Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP). As the second largest plant in our network and the largest soft drinks manufacturing facility in Europe, the site produces nearly half of Great Britain's volume across eight manufacturing lines and two preform lines. Every hour, the site can produce up to 672,000 cans and 132,000 bottles, supplying some of the world's most recognised brands to millions of consumers. With more than 550 colleagues across Manufacturing, Engineering and QESH, Wakefield offers a fast-paced, highly automated environment where continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

As a Reliability Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our world-class manufacturing assets continue to perform at their very best, helping to drive operational excellence across one of the most advanced production facilities in Europe. You will be a key member of the Engineering team, partnering closely with the Asset Care Planner, Production teams and Engineering leadership to maximise equipment reliability, performance and efficiency.

This is a highly visible role where you'll combine technical expertise, data-driven decision making and stakeholder collaboration to improve asset performance across a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering long-term asset care strategies, including major overhauls and lifecycle planning.
  • Leading reliability improvement activities using condition-based maintenance, failure analysis and best practice reliability methodologies.
  • Using asset performance data, OEM expertise and operational insight to identify and eliminate recurring equipment failures.
  • Managing maintenance and repair budgets within your area of responsibility, ensuring cost-effective asset performance.
  • Leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and ensuring sustainable corrective actions are implemented and measured.
  • Supporting capital investment projects, new technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coaching and developing technicians to build technical capability and drive team performance.
  • Ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient management of spare parts and inventory.
  • Partnering with Production teams to analyse performance losses, improve reliability KPIs and maximise line efficiency.
  • Acting as a visible champion for Safety, Quality and Environmental standards, ensuring compliance for both employees and contractors.

This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact, influence engineering strategy and help shape the future reliability performance of a flagship manufacturing site.

We're looking for a proactive engineering professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving continuous improvement in a high-performance manufacturing environment. Qualifications include:

  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of the distinction between maintenance activities and reliability engineering principles.
  • Proven experience applying reliability tools, techniques and methodologies to improve equipment performance.
  • Experience planning, coordinating and executing both major and minor maintenance shutdowns or overhauls.
  • Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into sustainable improvement plans.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Production and support functions.
  • Understanding of predictive and condition-based maintenance techniques.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and spare parts optimisation.

If you're passionate about reliability, continuous improvement and engineering excellence, this is an opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing operation where your expertise will have a direct impact on business performance and future growth.
