Sidcup Operations plays a pivotal role within the CCEP network, producing around 50% of the GB SKU portfolio. The site offers a one stop shop to the GB Market with a range of packages that are single sourced from Sidcup, such as the wide portfolio range of small cans. Across their 7 manufacturing lines, the site can produce 480,000 cans every hour, 96,000 PET bottles every hour and 48,000 Glass bottles. There are currently around 300 employees across Manufacturing, QSE and Engineering, experience here can lead to excellent career opportunities both in Sidcup and further afield across other GB sites and Pan-European locations.
Key responsibilities:
- As a Shift Engineer you will play a key role in keeping our production lines operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities.
- Diagnosing faults and implementing effective engineering solutions.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Working closely with Reliability Engineers to develop and optimise maintenance strategies.
- Ensuring clear communication of safety, quality, and reliability issues to colleagues and leadership teams.
- Using SAP (CCMS) to manage maintenance activities, complete work orders, and order parts and materials.
- Contributing to a proactive engineering culture focused on operational excellence.
Skills & Essentials:
- To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Multi-skilled engineering capability with recent electrical experience.
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing, production, FMCG, food, beverage, or similar industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and equipment optimisation.
- A strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
