What you become part of:
Sidcup Operations plays a pivotal role within the CCEP network, producing around 50% of the GB SKU portfolio. The site offers a one stop shop to the GB Market with a range of packages that are single sourced from Sidcup, such as the wide portfolio range of small cans. Across their 7 manufacturing lines the site can produce 480,000 cans per hour, 96,000 PET bottles per hour and 48,000 Glass bottles. There are currently around 300 employees across Manufacturing, QESH and Engineering, experience here can lead to excellent career opportunities both in Sidcup and further afield across other GB sites and Pan-European locations.
What to expect:
You will play a key role in the operations supporting the effective training and upskilling of both CCEP and agency staff and become part of a successful instructor team. Working on a shift based flexible 24/7 days and nights pattern, we are looking to increase instructing skill to add depth to our operational teams. Your work will ensure that we deliver high standards of quality at low waste levels working within a safe environment.
This operational role requires you to carry out operational activities, which include the ordering and loading of materials into our filling, packaging and palletising machines, and basic machine fault finding and rectification. You will ensure, through your attention to detail, that your work area hygiene is maintained to a high standard and execute established cleaning and lubrication routines. You will also ensure the quality of our products, through both hands on inspection and on-line analytical measurement of our product and packaging. In addition, you will execute machine changeovers to a set of standards, to ensure that we produce the variations on packs and flavours our customers require, when they require them. You will carry out basic machine asset care and equipment calibration to keep machines in good working order. You will also monitor and report on performance and optimise machine set up to ensure we maximise quality and output and reduce waste.
This role requires operational focus, technical competence, a good understanding and awareness of monitoring and control systems, and a good understanding of manufacturing processes. You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, teamwork, the ability to get things done quickly and efficiently and have a strong drive for results.
Skills & Essentials:
- GCSE Math's and English, or equivalent is required, as well as basic PC skills
- Machine operating, setting, adjustment, and maintenance skills
- Previous experience of working within a FMCG and Quality Control environment, and to have worked within a shift based role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Formal technical qualifications are desirable but not essential
