Electrical Engineer – Edmonton Operations
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the electrical and automation systems within our Edmonton production and warehousing facilities.
The role supports continuous improvement projects, manages system upgrades, resolves breakdowns, and collaborates closely with technicians, contractors and external specialists to ensure the site operates efficiently and safely.
- Maintain and optimize electrical and automation systems.

- Lead and coach on‑site technicians and apprentices.
- Perform electrical route cause analysis and ensure safe isolation and safety circuits.
The position requires 12‑hour days and nights on continental shifts.
Qualifications
- Time‑served electrical or dual‑skilled (electrical & mechanical/automation) engineer apprentice with an NVQ3 or equivalent.
- Experience working as an engineer in Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- Experience with complex machine breakdowns and fault‑finding.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical systems and safety isolation.
- Ability to work safely independently or as part of a team.
- Experience leading, coaching, and supporting technicians and apprentices.
- Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external contractors.
- Knowledge of Safety PLC systems (desired).
- HNC in electrical engineering/equivalent or higher (desired).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA packages.
- Experience with B&R Xenon screens.
