If you can fix heavy machinery in a field, forest or construction site, we want to hear from you. We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to support a range of specialist heavy machinery and equipment across the North West. This is a proper hands-on engineering role. You'll be out at customer sites, diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing and repairs and keeping technically advanced machinery doing what it was built to do. You'll work largely independently, with the backing of an experienced technical and parts team when you need it. The Role You'll be responsible for: Servicing, maintaining and repairing specialist mobile machinery Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults Attending breakdowns at customer sites Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance Repairing and setting up hydraulic equipment and attachments Providing customers with practical technical support Managing your own workload across the North West What We're Looking For The exact machinery you've worked on isn't critical. We'd particularly like to hear from engineers with experience of: Agricultural machinery Tractors and farm equipment Forestry machinery Excavators and construction plant Heavy mobile equipment Hydraulic machinery You'll need to be comfortable fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and, importantly, be the sort of engineer who enjoys working things out rather than simply swapping parts. You'll be working with an interesting range of specialist, high-quality machinery, dealing with different engineering challenges and customers across the region.
