We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee a well-established 30-bed elderly residential home in the Southend-on-Sea area. The home currently holds a Good CQC rating and provides high-quality care and support to older people, including residents living with dementia. This is a great opportunity for an experienced care home manager who enjoys being visible within the service and building strong relationships with residents, families and staff.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring consistently high standards of care, compliance and staff performance.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the staff team
- Maintaining high standards of person-centred care
- Ensuring continued compliance with CQC regulations
- Building positive relationships with residents and their families
- Managing staffing, recruitment and performance
- Promoting a warm, welcoming and well-run home environment
- Continuing to develop and improve the service
The Candidate
- To be considered, you will need:
- Previous experience managing a similar elderly residential or dementia care home
- NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care
- A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills
- A natural, approachable communication style
- Confidence speaking with residents, relatives and staff
- To live within a reasonable commuting distance of Southend-on-Sea
Salary & Package
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
