There is no need for our volunteers to have previously served in the Armed Forces, but we do need volunteers who share our passion for supporting Veterans and the Armed Forces community, to help us deliver effectively against our objectives. Training will be provided.
Role Requirements
- The Branch Secretary role is one of the Branch Officers and, therefore, one of the main focal points for Branch administration.
- The post holder is responsible for the efficient management and organisation of Branch meetings and for other routine administrative business.
- You will be expected to attend monthly committee meetings in Oxted, Surrey. Attendance should routinely be in person but, exceptionally, can be virtual on MS Teams.
- This position is voluntary and unpaid, although all travel expenses can be reimbursed.
- Applicants must be over the age of 18 and of good character and meet eligibility criteria specified by the Charities Act.
- Possess good basic I.T. skills and be technically competent in Microsoft Office 365, in order to manage all documents and email within the RBL's O365 portal.
- Good communication skills and the ability to draft correspondence and documentation.
- Previous experience of administration and committee management is desirable.
