For over 100 years we have led the way in supporting those who work at sea. We are looking for a dynamic and organised individual with a passion for fundraising and supporting donors to join our Development team as Fundraising Officer. This role provides essential operational and administrative support across our fundraising activities, including donor administration, supporter care, database management, and event support.
You will play a key part in helping the charity raise vital funds to improve the lives of seafarers. You will be working for a unique maritime charity with a reputation for impact. This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your fundraising career; to join a small but ambitious team that are driven by a desire to improve the lives of seafarers.
As an island nation it is not surprising that we rely heavily on the maritime sector - but have you any idea just how crucial it is in the UK? 95% of our trade, worth Β£500bn per annum, comes and goes via the sea; this could not happen without the work of seafarers. They are crucial both to our island and to world trade, but they are often forgotten, ignored, or not understood.
You will be joining a diverse, friendly, committed team of about 20 staff at London based head office working on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. Additionally, there are regular organisation-wide staff meetings, cross organisational working groups and departmental meetings held at the office to support teamwork and deepen organisational learning.
