About the Role
COBIS is seeking an exceptional Global Membership Development Manager to enhance and expand our family of schools worldwide. This varied, outward-facing role involves building relationships, working in an international environment, and supporting our purpose-led organisation.
Responsibilities
- Engage with schools worldwide and introduce them to COBIS.
- Build a strong pipeline of potential members and Associate Schools and nurture those relationships.
- Represent COBIS through meetings, events, and outreach activity.
- Guide schools through the membership journey in a supportive, consultative way.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across marketing, events, and engagement.
- Use CRM tools and insights to track progress and improve results.
The role offers ownership of your pipeline and direct visibility into results as our global network expands. You will also manage the Membership Development Executive, supporting their growth and helping drive team success.
About You
Proactive, organised, and experienced in business development, membership, subscription, or acquisition-focused roles.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer, member, or client acquisition, ideally in a B2B or membership environment.
- Confidence in building relationships and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills, managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Practical, structured approach to managing leads and progressing opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
- Comfort working with data and CRM systems to track activity and outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and develop.
- Interest in education and global engagement.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
- Post available from September/October 2026.
- Salary package £52,000 per annum; full‑time position.
- Working hours 09:00‑17:00 with a half‑hour lunch break; flexibility considered.
- Hybrid/remote working with a flexible working policy.
- Attendance at the COBIS Annual Conference and Committee meetings (4 days in London in May) required.
- Some domestic and international travel expected.
- Holiday entitlement 25 days (pro‑rata) plus statutory bank holidays.
- Access to pension scheme in line with regulations; company contribution 5% of salary.

- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and reside in the UK.
COBIS Safer Recruitment Procedure
Candidates must be willing to undertake a safer recruitment check. If appropriate to the role, a DBS check will be requested if an applicant is offered a contract of employment. All COBIS staff are required to undertake safeguarding training.
At least two professional references, both written and verbal, will be sourced from current and former employers as appropriate.
Place of Work
COBIS staff currently work predominantly remotely, with some days in the COBIS Head Office and other locations. This role is expected to be hybrid, predominantly home working, with the option to work in the Head Office. The contractual place of work is the COBIS Head Office, located in Temple Chambers, Temple/Blackfriars, Central London.
