Our client is a truly unique, well-funded start-up with a global presence developing cutting-edge solutions to transform the world of cancer diagnostics. The Senior Vice President of Business Development will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for identifying, negotiating, and establishing strategic partnerships with biopharma and molecular diagnostics companies. This is a remote role with regular travel to Boston, MA, and nationwide to meet partners and attend industry events.

You can expect a competitive compensation and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional advancement, to attract the very best. You should ideally, but not necessarily, be based in the EST or CST time zone.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An advanced degree in the life sciences, preferably combined with a business degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a focus on biopharma or molecular diagnostics.
  • Experience in digital pathology or AI is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of leading successful business development initiatives and strategic partnerships at a senior level.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with a demonstrated ability to close complex agreements.
  • A deep understanding of the biopharma and molecular diagnostics landscape, including market trends, regulatory environment, and key players.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, evaluating, and establishing strategic partnerships with biopharma and molecular diagnostics companies to enhance the company’s market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to create significant additional revenue streams through partnerships and collaborations.
  • Conducting thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the biopharma and molecular diagnostics sectors.
  • Leading negotiations of partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Working closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and legal, to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company’s visibility and thought leadership in digital pathology and AI.
  • Providing regular updates to the CEO and board of directors.
