We’re looking for a versatile and proactive Finance Manager to join our client’s successful business in North Kent. You’ll play a key role in our finance department, handling core accounting duties while supporting wider business functions. The ideal candidate will be confident managing day-to-day financial operations and comfortable taking ownership of tasks that may expand over time.
Key duties will include:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Complete VAT returns across all group companies
- Produce quarterly management accounts
- Manage purchase ledger and supplier reconciliations
- Oversee credit control and insurance of credit accounts
- Produce cash flow forecasts and monitor variances
- Reconcile control accounts and bank accounts (including USD and Euro)
- Assist with stock control and inventory adjustments
- Maintain records for government surveys
- Prepare audit files and assist with year-end financial statements
- Post accruals, prepayments, and lease-related entries
- Liaise with external suppliers and professionals
- Manage cost projection spreadsheets for business projects
The ideal candidate:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified - candidates who are qualified by experience are also welcome to apply
