We are partnering with a growing and forward-thinking organisation in West Kent to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing finance team, working closely with senior leadership and playing a key role in shaping financial strategy and improving business processes. This is a newly created role with a succession plan to Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Financial Director to support delivery of financial targets and business objectives
- Provide insightful financial support to internal stakeholders across the organisation
- Assist in preparing monthly board and management reports
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process
- Review and enhance credit management processes, including oversight of credit control and line management responsibility
- Oversee banking arrangements and support system integration improvements
- Complete VAT returns and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Review payroll submissions and perform monthly reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register and support system integration initiatives
- Assist with the annual audit process
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems and processes
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, including team supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident working with ERP systems (experience with modern systems highly desirable)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across the business
