We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee an education refurbishment and M&E project in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering refurbishment and mechanical & electrical projects safely, on programme, and to a high standard within live educational environments.

- Location: Stoke-on-Trent
- Start Date: 13th July
- Duration: Until the beginning of September
- Working Hours: Day shifts, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the site.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and M&E trades.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
- Liaise with the client, design team, and Contracts Manager.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
- Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and maintain accurate site records.
- Manage deliveries, logistics, and programme compliance.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing education refurbishment projects.
- Experience coordinating mechanical & electrical (M&E) works.
- Valid SMSTS.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
- Valid Fire Marshal certificate.
- Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 2 years.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of current health & safety legislation.
