The Role

As Client Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the administration of CIS processes while delivering an exceptional service to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of client accounts and overseeing day-to-day financial transactions
  • Performing reconciliations and ensuring accurate management of client funds
  • Processing payment runs in line with contractual requirements and deadlines
  • Administering CIS processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Allocating cash receipts and resolving account queries
  • Preparing monthly client accounts and financial reports
  • Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting ad hoc finance projects and wider team initiatives

About You

We're looking for an organised and proactive finance professional who is confident managing client accounts and has a strong understanding of CIS. To be considered, you'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Client Accountant, Property Accountant or in a similar finance role within the real estate sector
  • Essential: Previous experience working with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
  • Experience managing client portfolios and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • A solid understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting and financial controls
  • Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
