As a Principal to Associate Planner, you’ll work independently across a wide range of planning projects, delivering insightful, tailored advice and building lasting client relationships. What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver expert planning advice across a range of development types
- Manage end-to-end planning applications, appeals, and site promotions
- Represent clients at committees, hearings, and public inquiries
- Oversee project teams and coordinate input from specialist consultants
- Lead client communications and maintain strong long-term relationships
- Contribute to business development—winning new work for yourself and others
- Support internal initiatives and mentor junior team members
Your Expertise
- Chartered Member of the RTPI
- Extensive, diverse planning experience (private sector background essential)
- Deep understanding of planning policy and development processes
- Skilled in preparing and managing all forms of planning applications, appeals, and policy representations
- Strong project leadership and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and self-motivation
