Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to oversee a portfolio of contemporary office buildings, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, compliance, and operational excellence.

The Role

As Technical Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the technical integrity and efficiency of a high-quality portfolio. Working closely with the Facilities Manager and wider operational teams, you’ll be responsible for all M&E systems, planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management, and project delivery across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all hard services across a multi-site office portfolio in London.
  • Managing and supporting an on-site Facilities Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance, H&S, and best practice in all aspects of building maintenance.
  • Managing service providers and contractors, ensuring performance aligns with SLAs and KPIs.
  • Leading on plant upgrades, refurbishments, and capital projects.
  • Monitoring building performance data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability improvements.
  • Supporting the delivery of an exceptional customer experience for occupiers and visitors alike.

The Person

You’ll be a confident and technically skilled manager with a strong understanding of building services within commercial offices. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a proactive, people-focused approach.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing M&E services across a commercial or mixed-use portfolio.
  • Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical).
  • Strong contractor management and project delivery experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
