Cobalt is delighted to be partnering with a leading Real Estate brand to appoint a Supply Chain Manager within its operational support function. Supporting a portfolio of over 3,000 homes across London and the South East, this role will take ownership of a supplier networking approaching £10m and play a key part in strengthening contractor performance, commercial value, and service delivery across the business. This is an opportunity to step into a strategic supply chain and contractor management role.

Working closely with property management teams and senior stakeholders, the successful supply chain manager will review supplier performance, challenge existing processes, and help shape the future approach to supplier engagement and service delivery. The role offers significant autonomy within a hybrid role, allowing the successful individual to shape the processes and strategy of procurement and contractor management within a global firm, whilst building relationships and establishing your influence across the department.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop the approved contractor and supplier network supporting the residential portfolio.
  • Monitor supplier performance, service quality, compliance, and value for money.
  • Lead supplier review meetings and performance discussions.
  • Challenge pricing, service delivery, and operational standards where required.
  • Provide clear commercial justification for supplier selection and contractor spend.
  • Work closely with property management teams to resolve service issues and identify improvements.
  • Review supply chain structures, workflows, and spend data to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure supplier accreditations, documentation, and compliance records remain up to date.
  • Support the development of a more proactive and strategic approach to supply chain management.
  • Manage and support junior team members responsible for contractor administration and compliance processes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting, controls, and supplier engagement.

As the successful Supply Chain Manager, you'll bring a depth of experience within supply chain management, contractor management, procurement, FM, property services, or a similar operational environment. Those coming from a contractor background with experience managing supplier performance and service delivery at scale are likely to be particularly well suited. Whilst residential experience would be desirable, our client is keen to consider those from a range of backgrounds and sectors within the wider property landscape so as to gain fresh perspectives for the department.

You'll be a confident decision-maker, who is able to demonstrate the ability to build relationships and influence through your personality rather than just your authority. In short, our client is looking for a proactive and visionary leader with the ability to drive forward improvements, and is looking to give this hire their full backing in bringing your vision to life.
